More CSA! I'm going to keep this post short, but I just wanted to chime in with our experience over the past two and a half weeks. The "3/4 sized share" is almost too much for Nils and I, but we're doing our best to keep up with the produce. It seems that Spring shares have a lot of greens since other vegetables aren't in season yet, so we've been tackling giant bags of lettuce and braising mix.

Salads have been prepared. Potatoes have been mashed, boiled, and fried. Braising mix has been poorly cooked. Collard greens were mistaken for chard and cook into a disgusting, sloppy mess. So much to do!
We don't always know what's in the box or what to do with it, so we're left to experiment with the help of one Deborah Madison. As I write this, I can't believe I don't have a post devoted to Ms. Madison. She is the author of the most useful cookbook in our kitchen, Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone

Experimenting with new ingredients and learning new recipes has been just another benefit of CSA (are you tired of me plugging it yet?).
